User Centered Design

Focusing on the user drives a product's success. My job as a designer, whether it is interaction design, UX design, or product design, is to be the voice of the user. It is essential to consider the business goals and success because a product needs to make money, but none of that matters if it deviates from the user's needs.

As part of my process early on, I drive for collaboration between all stakeholders while understanding the user through data, conversations, and user studies. The more I can learn from users early on, the better the outcome will be in delivering a powerful and meaningful experience. It’s also key to work and learn from developers, product managers, account managers, and sales, as we all have unique and valuable perspectives that can enhance the final outcome, inevitably delivering a more powerful outcome for the user.

  • With two companies merging and expanding their experience, it was extremely important to work between multiple teams and bring together a cohesive experience.

  • We are moving away from mobile-first to deliver experiences that thrive on any device with the mindset of being device agnostic. Whether mobile (iOS or Android), desktop, responsive, or adapting to accessibility, each view of our experience needs to focus on the very best output for the user.
