Beyond the screen
Architecture & Growth
My fascination with how things are built doesn't end at the pixel level. I’m a student of architecture and engineering, finding peace in the structural logic of a well-designed cityscape. This extends to my home office, where I manage a "living system" of over 50 houseplants—an ongoing exercise in patience, environment design, and tending to growth.
Through the Lens
When I’m not untangling complex problems, I’m usually capturing them. I have a deep love for landscape and cityscape photography, a hobby that forces me to slow down and find the perfect composition. It’s a practice in perspective that I’ve carried with me from my roots in Alaska to the shores of the Oregon Coast.
The Reset
To keep my "Thinking Class" brain balanced, I lean into the simple life. Whether it’s training for a 5K, traveling with my wife to Hawaii, or finding a quiet "third place" in a local coffee shop to read, I value the mental reset of being offline.
The ‘Stakeholder’
I’m currently based in Seattle, sharing my space with my Golden Chinchilla British Shorthair, Lucy. She serves as my chief "quality assurance" officer—though her primary contribution to my workflow is ensuring I take enough breaks for head scratches.
